Other watched their children play soccer but never played before joining soccer moms. Although they aren't fiercely physical, they fiercely protective of what they call their "hour." They don't want to mess their hour every Friday night. Friday night, is their one hour. Although kids and the husbands can come watch them, or they don't have to come, it's just their time to have a good time.
Soccer moms said that their status as players gives them an "in" with their kids, or at least a better understanding of the game their children play too.
